Aug 17 (Reuters) - Following are security developments in Afghanistan at 1330 GMT on Monday.

* SOUTHERN AFGHANISTAN - A roadside bomb killed a U.S. soldier working with the NATO-led International Security Assistance Force in southern Afghanistan, ISAF said.

EASTERN AFGHANISTAN - A U.S. civilian working with ISAF was killed when insurgents attacked a patrol in the east of the country on Sunday, the alliance said.

PAKTIKA - Two insurgents were killed by a bomb they were assembling in southeastern Paktika province on Saturday, the Interior Ministry said.

LOGAR - Afghan police killed one insurgent and detained another during an operation in Logar, south of Kabul, on Saturday, the Interior Ministry said. (For more Reuters coverage of Afghanistan and Pakistan, see: here)
