JULY INFLATION HITS RECORD LOW

Slovak EU-norm consumer prices fell by 0.1 percent on the
monthly basis in July, putting the annual inflation rate at an
all-time low of 0.6 percent.

SLOVAK FINMIN DELAYS 2010 BUDGET, SEES LOWER GAP

The Slovak finance ministry will delay preparation of the
2010 state budget draft proposal to the end of September as it
awaits updated macroeconomic data for a more accurate set-up of
public finances.

SKY EUROPE TRANSFERS FROM VIENNA

Low cost airlines SkyEurope has transferred its flights from
Vienna to Bratislava after Vienna airport stopped operating
SkyEurope flights on Friday nights.

NEW CO2 RULES

The government wants to set new rules for future trading
with Slovakia's excess carbon emission allowances after a
disputed sale in which the government may have lost tens of
millions of euros. The new rules have yet to be specified as
government factions have differing views on the issue.
