Michigan-Based Green Energy Companies Alumalight and EarthTronics Form
Strategic Alliance

BIRMINGHAM, Mich., Aug. 18 /PRNewswire/ -- Alumalight LLC, of Birmingham, and
EarthTronics, Inc., of Muskegon, have formed a strategic alliance to promote
an industry-leading line of energy-efficient and environmentally "green"
lighting fixtures.

Alumalight (www.alumalight.com) manufactures high-output light fixtures that
improve energy use in commercial, governmental and recreational facilities.

EarthTronics creates technologically-advanced and environmentally friendly
energy products, and globally sources high-efficiency components such as lamps
and ballasts.

Both companies are based in Michigan, whose governor, Jennifer Granholm, has
stated that "green" energy industries are a major emphasis for economic
development. The state has recently approved rebate programs, administered
through public utility companies, for commercial operators who invest in
systems such as high-output lighting that reduce energy use and carbon
emissions.

"Consumers are seeing a more carbon neutral lifestyle," said Reg Adams,
president of EarthTronics. "The Honeywell Wind Turbine and EarthBulb Compact
Fluorescent Lighting enables this lifestyle as part of a home energy solution
utilizing energy saving products and an alternative energy source to reduce
monthly electric bills."

Under terms of the strategic alliance, Alumalight overhead lighting systems
will be carried by EarthTronics as a product line. Alumalight, meanwhile, will
use some EarthTronics components in its fixtures, and will also sell
EarthTronics-made compact fluorescent bulbs, WindTronics wind turbines and
other products from the Muskegon company. Terms of the alliance do not include
any monetary investment between the two companies.

"This is a great opportunity for each of us, and shows that Michigan companies
are leaders in the new and growing energy economy," said Michael Stenback,
Alumalight president.

Alumalight uses automotive stamping technology and an automotive-grade
"platform" design for its fixtures to create one of the most durable,
coolest-running and most-efficient overhead lighting systems available. The
energy-saving fixtures produce better light at lower cost than those they
replace.

Unlike traditional fluorescent fixtures, Alumalight's proprietary design and
technology also allows for versatility and in-place reconfiguration of lamps
and reflectors, saving significant resources over the life of the
installation.

EarthTronics globally manufactures advanced energy lighting components sold
under the EarthBulb brand that are used in commercial buildings, hotels,
retail stores and private residences. The company's gearless wind turbine
technology is a crucial part of EarthTronics' alternative energy products
focus and will be available for retail sale in late 2009.

The Muskegon startup company is dedicated to reducing carbon emissions both
through development and use of its high-tech products and its Green Ribbon
Program, which seeks to restore natural forestation and waterways through
private donations and a percentage give-back from sales of its products to
fund projects that meet those criteria.
