North Korea to send mourners to South for Kim Dae-jung
SEOUL |
SEOUL (Reuters) - North Korea confirmed on Thursday that it would send a delegation to the South to mourn former President Kim Dae-jung, who died earlier this week.
The visit is being seen in the South as a further sign that Pyongyang may be softening its tone toward the Seoul.
North Korea's KCNA news agency said leader Kim Jong-il had approved the visit by the delegation which will be headed by Kim Ki Nam, secretary of the Central Committee of the ruling Workers' Party.
