NEC Electronics, Renesas delay merger agreement

TOKYO Aug 26 (Reuters) - Japan's NEC Electronics Corp (6723.T) sand Renesas Technology Corp said on Wednesday they would work towards a merger agreement in September, instead of the August deadline they had previously set.
The deal would create the world's third-largest chip maker. (Reporting by Mayumi Negishi)
