BEIJING Aug 27 (Reuters) - Daimler AG (DAIGn.DE) sold 31,711 cars in China in the first seven months, 49 percent more than in the same period last year, Ulrich Walker, head of the German automaker's Northeast Asia operations, said on Thursday.

Walker told reporters he was aiming to maintain the sales momentum of the first half of the year over the rest of 2009. (Reporting by Jason Subler; Editing by Alan Wheatley)
