CITIGROUP (C.N)

Citigroup said Debashish Duttagupta has been appointed as head of investments for Citi Asia Pacific's Wealth Management business. He was previously head of capital markets for the Wealth Management Business.

ALLIANCE TRUST PLC (ATST.L)

Alliance Trust said it has appointed Rod Davidson, Gareth Quantrill, Stuart McMaster and Stuart Steven, to its fixed income team. Davidson, who will head the team, Quantrill, McMaster and Steven all join Alliance from Scottish Widows Investment Partnership.

DELOITTE

Business advisory firm Deloitte said it has appointed Roger Elser, who joined Deloitte as a partner in 2001, to its debt advisory team.

The firm also said it has promoted John Gregson to Associate Partner at the team, while it has hired Rob Olsen from Goldman Sachs to head the Canadian debt advisory team and Markus Feldman to its debt advisory team in Germany.

ALLIED IRISH BANK (ALBK.I)

Allied Irish Banks' (ALBK.I) head of capital markets, Colm Doherty, faces competition from a "very strong" external candidate in the race to replace outgoing Chief Executive Eugene Sheehy, The Irish Times newspaper reported. [ID:nLR703022]

ASSOCIATED BANC-CORP (ASBC.O)

U.S. regional bank Associated Banc-Corp said Chairman and Chief Executive Paul Beideman will retire.

The Green Bay, Wisconsin-based lender said it expects to hire a new CEO before the end of 2009 and has retained an executive search firm to find a successor for Beideman.

MORGAN STANLEY (MS.N)

Morgan Stanley, looking to fortify its equity trading business in Europe, has hired Richard Evans, a former top trader with Citigroup Inc (C.N), as head of strategy in the region, the Wall Street Journal said. [ID:nBNG322293]

NOMURA HOLDINGS INC (8604.T)

Nomura Holdings Inc, Japan's top brokerage, has hired John Hanson as head of mergers and acquisitions to boost its investment banking team, Nomura said in a statement. [ID:nSYD507985]

BNP PARIBAS (BNPP.PA)

BNP Paribas Corporate and Investment Banking said it has appointed Marc Falconer as head of Medium Term Notes and Private Placements. Falconer previously worked with Citigroup.

SHORE CAPITAL GROUP PLC SHCA.L

Shore Capital said it has appointed Andrew Raca as corporate finance director and Anita Ghanekar as assistant director of corporate finance.

Raca joins Shore Capital from Astaire Securities while Ghanekar most recently worked at HansonWesthouse Ltd.

JP MORGAN (JPM.N)
