Easy-to-Use-Solution Interacts with Third Party Systems and Gives Users Quick
Access to Configuration Changes
SANDEFJORD, Norway & OXNARD, Calif.--(Business Wire)--
Nevion (www.nevion.com), a leading video transport solution provider for
broadcasters, telecommunications service providers and government entities
worldwide, today formally introduced Multicon, an integrated system controller
for the entire video transport chain.

Multicon enables complete control of system assets across Nevion`s Ventura,
VikinX and Flashlink product families, from camera output through signal
processing and routing infrastructure to distribution of the signal. The system
enables access to signal processing parameters alongside video routing
crosspoints from the same control panel, eliminating the need for different user
interfaces to control the applications. This allows for the ability to make
changes on-the-fly from one user interface.

Additionally, users can now easily change the layout of control panels for
different production set ups, store several pre-defined configurations and apply
these changes to all equipment at the touch of a single button. Multicon also
offers complete integration with third party equipment including both SP&D and
router applications.

"Multicon has profoundly simplified and improved the efficiency of video
transport control," said Jan Helgesen, director of product management. "The
degree of ease and flexibility plus tight control through every aspect of the
process is unparalleled in the industry."

Multicon provides the Danish Parliament in Copenhagen, Denmark with easy third
party control against the Pro-Bel Pyxis router, seamless integration against TSL
Tallyman for UMD control, control from an automation system, and a Nevion
Configurator for setting up communication and control panel configurations.
Transmitting and storing both audio and video from a number of locations where
meetings are held, the building uses fiber links from individual rooms down to
location of the Modular router in the server room. There are three edit suites
that control the router and edit programs, and a storage station for backing up
all material.

According to Nevion CEO Oddbjørn Bergem, Multicon is breakthrough technology
that demonstrates Nevion`s focus on product innovation that improves every
aspect of signal processing and video transport. "This is just one example of
engineering with very real-world benefits that our customers not only appreciate
but count on-every day."
