-Independent Apple Specialist Dealers across North America Are Using the Launch
of the New Mac OS to Help Save the Endangered Snow Leopard -
SAN DIEGO--(Business Wire)--
The Apple Specialist Marketing Co-op (ASMC) has partnered with the Snow Leopard
Trust to raise funds to help save the wild snow leopard. Beginning August 18 at
participating Apple Specialist Snow Leopard Launch Events, customers can "adopt"
a snow leopard cub at a specially reduced price or make donations to the Snow
Leopard Trust through their local Apple Specialist.

"This is an amazing opportunity to raise awareness for the plight of the
endangered snow leopard," said Brad Rutherford, the Snow Leopard Trust`s
Executive Director. "This joint promotion will give people the story behind the
name and show them why the snow leopard on their Mac OS X software is such an
amazing big cat."

"The Snow Leopard Trust is a great organization," said Kevin Langdon, ASMC
Executive Director and owner of Crywolf Computers in San Diego, CA. "They have a
well-deserved reputation for integrity and excellence in conservation. We are
thrilled to be able to contribute to their work."

Dozens of independent Apple Specialist Reseller locations in the U.S. and Canada
are participating in this fundraising drive. A full list of participating
locations is available at www.applespecialist.com/adoptions.

"Individual dealers are participating in different ways," said Langdon. "One
large dealer is donating the full proceeds of the first 100 copies of Snow
Leopard they sell. Others are donating a percentage of Snow Leopard sales this
weekend and most are offering the adoption program and/or taking donations."

All donations from new donors will be matched dollar-for-dollar by the Geyer
Trust during this promotion.

Founded in 1981, the Snow Leopard Trust is the world's leading authority on the
study and protection of the endangered snow leopard. A full description of their
conservation activities is available at www.snowleopard.org.

The Apple Specialists Marketing Co-op represents 160 Apple Specialist Dealers,
