Teche Holding Company Announces Fifty-Seventh Consecutive Quarterly Dividend

FRANKLIN, LA, Aug 27 (MARKET WIRE) --
(NYSE Amex: TSH) -- The Board of Directors of Teche Holding Company,
holding company of Teche Federal Bank, yesterday declared an increase in
the quarterly dividend to $0.355 per share of its common stock.
The dividend is 0.15% higher than the rate of $0.35 per common share this
time last year and 0.15% higher than the $0.35 per share paid the prior
quarter. This represents a quarterly payout ratio of 43.8% based on net
income for the quarter ended June 30, 2009. The effective dividend yield
amounts to 4.06% based on the stock price on the close of business on
August 26, 2009. The dividend will be paid on September 30, 2009 to
shareholders of record as of the close of business on September 16, 2009.
The company has paid a cash dividend for 57 consecutive quarters.

of St. Mary, Iberia, Lafayette, St. Martin, Terrebonne, Lafourche, St.
