ASPEN, CO, Aug 27 (MARKET WIRE) --
Obermeyer Asset Management Company (Obermeyer), one of Colorado's premier
discretionary asset management firms, has announced the relocation of its
head of investment research to Denver. John Goltermann, CFA, CPA,
Obermeyer's Senior Vice President for Portfolio Management, will make his
primary office in the firm's recently opened office in the Cherry Creek
business district.

Mr. Goltermann's presence in Denver, one of the West's most important
financial centers, further extends Aspen-based Obermeyer's reach toward
Colorado's affluent investors.

"This move is a positive development for our firm and for our clients,"
said company president Wally Obermeyer. "John will be well-positioned to
monitor industry trends, economic developments, and investment
opportunities as he expands his network of business and investment
professionals in Denver."

Functionally, Mr. Goltermann's role at Obermeyer will remain unchanged. As
the primary architect of the firm's global equity strategy, he will
continue to serve on the Obermeyer Investment Committee and articulate the
company's market perspective.

"Obermeyer Asset Management has made significant investment in the
necessary resources to improve inter-office connectivity, so our team can
interact as though it's in one office," says Goltermann. "Actually being
in Denver, which allows me greater opportunity for one-on-one investment
conversation with key people, will quickly benefit us all."

Mr. Goltermann has longstanding ties to the Denver investment community.
Before joining Obermeyer, he performed due diligence and valuation work as
a senior associate with an Arizona-based private equity firm, and worked
in institutional cash management and accounting with Janus Capital for
several years. Mr. Goltermann earned a BS degree in accounting from
Metropolitan State College of Denver, graduating summa cum laude, before
receiving his MBA in finance from Arizona State University. In 2000, he
received the Jack Furst Fellowship from Hicks Muse, a leading private
equity firm.

The Obermeyer investment team builds and manages marketable securities
portfolios for about 250 families representing over $600 million in
assets. Wally Obermeyer was recently named one of Worth magazine's 'Top
250 Wealth Advisors,' and has been included in Barron's magazine's 'Top
100 Independent Advisors' for the last two years.
