United States Patent & Trademark Office Issues BoomBox(r) Trademark Registration
to Modavox, Inc.

PHOENIX, Aug. 27, 2009 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Modavox, Inc. (OTCBB:MDVX), Internet
broadcasting pioneer and holder of several patented technologies, today
announced that it has received a Certificate of Registration for the BoomBox(r)
mark in the field of use including video streaming services featuring Modavox's
patented technology, entertainment, news, music, live performances and other
broadcasting over the Internet. The mark was registered by the United States
Patent and Trademark Office ("U.S.P.T.O.") on August 18, 2009, and bears
Registration No. 3,668,343.

The BoomBox(r) mark represents Modavox's second registered mark related to the
Company's BoomBox(r) product lines. Previously, on June 7, 1999, the mark
"BoomBox Radio(r)" was registered with the U.S.P.T.O., bearing Registration No.
2,397,385, which Registration covers uses including entertainment services
featuring music, news, talk shows, video and computer games, movies, and
television shows, provided via a global computer network.

The BoomBox(r) registration will assist Modavox as it defends its property
rights in legal action against AOL, LLC, related to trademark infringement,
unfair competition, and false designation of origin. Modavox's Complaint against
AOL, LLC, seeks injunctive relief and monetary damages resulting from AOL's
alleged use of the Modavox marks through the website theboombox.com. Modavox
intends to amend/supplement its filings in light of the registration of the
BoomBox(r) mark.

Modavox has sued Tacoda, Inc. for patent infringement in U.S. District Court in
New York in a case filed in August, 2007. That case is progressing pursuant to
the Court's schedule. Tacoda was purchased by AOL Time Warner in September of
2007, and AOL launched the Web site "theboombox.com" in a beta release on or
around October 7, 2007.
