Encorium Announces Receipt of Letters from Nasdaq Regarding its Second Quarter
2009 Form 10-Q Filing


WAYNE, Pa., Aug. 27 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Encorium Group, Inc. (Nasdaq:
ENCO), a full service multinational clinical research organization (CRO)
conducting studies in over 30 countries for many of the world's leading
pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies, today announced that on August 21,
2009, it received a letter from Nasdaq stating that since it had not, as of
the date of the letter, filed its 10-Q for the quarterly period ended June 30,
2009, it was then no longer in compliance with the rules for continued listing
according to Listing Rule 5250(c)(1).

Encorium filed its Form 10-Q for the quarterly period ended June 30, 2009 on
August 21, 2009.  As a result, the Company received notice on August 26, 2009
from Nasdaq that it is currently in compliance with Listing Rule 5250(c)(1).
