Indian shares provisionally rise 0.2 pct

MUMBAI Aug 27 (Reuters) - Indian shares provisionally rose 0.2 percent on Thursday, as investors covered short positions on the final day of monthly derivatives contracts.

The 30-share BSE index .BSESN provisionally ended up 37.59 points at 15,807.44, with 15 stocks gaining.

The 50-share NSE index .NSEI provisionally closed up 0.3 percent at 4,696.05. (Reporting by Pratish Narayanan)
