Largest Prepaid Show Has Banner Year AVENTURA, Fla.--(Business Wire)-- The Prepaid Press Expo 2009, the premier gathering of the prepaid services industry, ended Thursday, August 20th at Caesars Palace, Las Vegas. Industry professionals from all of the segments of the prepaid calling card, wireless and gift and debit card industries converged to meet with retailers, distributors and others who are involved in the fast growing prepaid industry. This year, tppEXPO featured 50 exhibitors, 12 corporate sponsors and 9 media partners. With attendee registration over 1,500, it was the biggest event for the prepaid industry. The expanded exhibit hall showcased providers from all facets of prepaid: long distance, wireless, payments, gift cards, promotions, among others. Despite slow economic times, attendance increased 35% over 2008, clearly exemplifying the growth in prepaid services. Particularly in a slow economy, prepaid services enable consumers to better manage their budgets, and limit excessive spending. "The first Prepaid Press Expo last year was the re-birth of the industry," says Pete Pattullo, CEO of NetworkIP, and sponsor of the Gladiators of Prepaid Long Distance Pavilion and Toga Party. "The attendance for the 2009 Prepaid Press Expo increased by more than a third! WOW! Now is not the time to rest on our past successes. Just like the industry itself, we will keep evolving and adapting this event to continue to provide value!" Robin Tobias, Show Producer, adds, "We are thrilled with our recent turnout, and are eager to start planning for tppEXPO 2010. Our goal is to provide the best possible forum for prepaid service providers, and look forward to adapting and improving our event to meet the needs of this dynamic industry." tppEXPO`09 thanks its sponsors for their support: Emperor - NetworkIP; Senator - Auris, Blue Label USA, Direct Wholesale, Digitalk, Futura Card Services, InComm, Total Call International, and TransCard; Centurion - Global Service Solutions, Lunex Group, and TelTech Systems. tppEXPO also thanks conference partner, The PELORUS Group, and our speakers for their participation.
