Pomeroy IT Solutions Announces New $18 Million Multi-Year Services Contract
With PPL



HEBRON, Ky., Aug. 31 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Pomeroy IT Solutions (Nasdaq:
PMRY), a technology services and solutions provider, today announced that it
has been awarded a five year contract to provide help desk and desk side
support services to PPL, a global energy company headquartered in Allentown,
Pennsylvania, that controls or owns more than 12,000 megawatts of generating
capacity in the United States, sells energy in key U.S. markets, and delivers
electricity to approximately 4 million customers in Pennsylvania and the
United Kingdom.  This new IT services contract has an estimated value of $18
Million over the initial five year term.

Under the agreement, PPL also has the option to extend the helpdesk and desk
side support engagement for two consecutive one-year renewal terms, which, if
exercised by PPL, would increase the aggregate estimated value of the contract
to $25 million over a seven year period.  Pomeroy plans to hire approximately
45 additional  technical resources to perform services specifically for PPL
under the contract; 27 of the dedicated resources will perform services
on-site at PPL's headquarters in Allentown, Pennsylvania and 18 of the
dedicated resources will provide remote help desk services to PPL from
Pomeroy's Global Service Center in Hebron, Kentucky.
