Tweet Me in St. Louis: Twitter Co-Founder and St. Louis Native Jack Dorsey to
Speak at Webster University

ST. LOUIS, Aug. 31 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- What are you doing. . .Friday,
Sept. 18? That's when Webster University's School of Business & Technology and
School of Communications will present a "TweetUp" with Twitter
creator/chairman/co-founder and St. Louis native Jack Dorsey. The event, which
is free and open to the public, begins at 10 a.m. at Webster's Loretto-Hilton
Center, 130 Edgar Rd. Reservations are required for admission; to RSVP, go to
www.webster.edu/jackatwebster.

Dorsey is returning to his native St. Louis as Webster University's Success to
Significance 2009 Person of the Year. He's known as the man behind the power
of relaying precise yet concise details (140 characters or less) and staying
connected. Business Week called him one of technology's "best and brightest."
And MIT's Technology Review named him to the "TR35," as an outstanding
innovator under the age of 35.

"If I were to 'micro-blog' Jack's impact on business and society in 140
characters or less, I'd tweet: 'Jack Dorsey's Twitter is to our generation
what Gutenberg's printing press and Bell's telephone were to theirs,'" said
Dr. Benjamin Akande, dean of Webster's School of Business and Technology. "The
fact that Jack is a native of St. Louis and we can celebrate his
accomplishments makes his visit an even greater honor."

With its home campus in St. Louis, Webster University (www.webster.edu) is a
worldwide institution committed to delivering high-quality learning
experiences that transform students for global citizenship and individual
excellence. Founded in 1915, Webster offers undergraduate and graduate degree

100 campuses. Its 20,000-plus student population represents almost 150
nationalities.

Webster University's Study Abroad programs rank in the top 2 percent of the
more than 1,400 colleges and universities surveyed in the "America's Best
Colleges" 2010 edition of U.S. News & World Report. Webster is one of just 34
U.S. institutions to share this distinction, which recognizes study abroad
programs that involve substantial academic work for credit and considerable
interaction with the local culture. In addition, the Chronicle of Higher
Education recently ranked Webster University in the "Honor Roll" or top 10, of
its second annual "Great Colleges to Work For" survey. The Chronicle is widely
considered the most respected publication serving the academic community.
Webster University also received top honors in the 2008 survey.

Since opening its first campus overseas in Geneva in 1978, Webster has become
a recognized leader and innovator in global education, with an international
