LivingSocial Launches 'Deals' Social Coupons for New Yorkers to Save on
Restaurants, Spas and Local Merchants
Top Facebook Application Developer Brings Group Discounts and Savings to NYC
Following Successful Pilot Program in Washington D.C.

WASHINGTON and NEW YORK, Aug. 31 /PRNewswire/ -- LivingSocial, the social
media developer behind top Facebook application "Visual Bookshelf" and its
flagship application "LivingSocial," today announced the launch of
"LivingSocial Deals" in New York City, a group couponing program that lets
LivingSocial fans save an average of more than 50% off at the hottest local
restaurants, spas, sporting events, hotels, and more.

"LivingSocial Deals" offers local merchants, such as today's deal for 60% off
with restaurant Brio, the opportunity to engage with LivingSocial's active
community of more than 60 million people. One offer per day is announced every
morning through Facebook, Twitter, and email, and as soon as the sign-up quota
for each offer is met, the coupons are distributed. Users have to 'beat the
clock,' as the offer is only good until midnight of that day.

"The pilot program has been really popular in Washington D.C., so we're
excited about launching in New York City, and eventually nationwide," says Tim
O'Shaughnessy, CEO and Co-founder of LivingSocial. "Who doesn't want a killer
deal on luxury spa treatments or tickets to a game? That's why people are
spreading the word to friends on Facebook and Twitter, so the program builds
incredible buzz for our merchant partners. Additionally, our merchants get
great branding opportunities and reach hundreds of thousands of local
consumers by simply participating in the program."

The program works by bringing customers hungry for new experiences at great
prices to local merchants eager to bring a new clientele through their doors.
In the one month Washington D.C. trial, LivingSocial Deals has sold thousands
of deals on behalf of merchants worth hundreds of thousands of dollars.

"By partnering with LivingSocial, awareness of Co Co. Sala reached thousands
of customers who might not otherwise have ever stepped through our doors,
because they bridge the gap between online and offline interests perfectly,"
says Bharet Malhotra, Co-Owner of Co Co. Sala, a chocolate lounge in
Washington, D.C. "What's more, the LivingSocial team made me feel like we were
true partners, fully invested in helping me grow my business."

In addition to the New York launch, the company plans to roll out
"LivingSocial Deals" in cities nationwide in coming months. For more
