Nikkei turns negative after hitting 11-month high

TOKYO Aug 31 (Reuters) - Japan's Nikkei stock average turned negative on Monday after earlier rising more than 2 percent in the wake of a historic victory by the opposition in Sunday's national election.[ID:POLJP]

The benchmark Nikkei .N225 lost 0.2 percent or 15.42 points to 10,518.72 after earlier hitting an 11-month high. (Reporting by Elaine Lies)
