Wendy`s Helps Fight Diabetes

Local Stores Donate Close to $700,000 since 1996
AUSTIN, Texas--(Business Wire)--
Pisces Foods, the local Wendy`s Franchise based in Austin, continued their
charitable work in the community by raising over $72,000 this year for the
Austin chapter of the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF). Since 1996,
Pisces Foods has donated close to $700,000 to the JDRF.

2009`s donation was raised through a one-month promotion beginning in mid-July
in which customers at participating Austin area Wendy`s restaurants could
purchase a Frosty Coupon Book for $1.00. Each book included four (4) coupons,
good for either a Free Small Frosty or $1 off any Frosty product, including
Wendy`s new Coffee Toffee Twisted Frosty and Frosty-Cino. Customers have been
very excited about the value of the Frosty Coupon Book, where for only $1.00
they receive four (4) free Frosty`s. Proceeds from the sale of each coupon book
went to the JDRF.

The promotion was initiated in 1996 by Pisces Foods where customers could
purchase a Frosty pin-up for $1.00. Since then, the program has expanded to
include the sale of the Frosty Coupon books to draw on the popularity of Wendy`s
signature Frosty and to maximize the donation.
