India July oil product sales up 3.6 pct y/y -govt

NEW DELHI, Sept 1 (Reuters) - India's domestic oil products sales rose 3.6 percent in July from a year ago to 10.94 million tonnes, led by higher sales of petrol and diesel, government data showed on Tuesday.

Crude oil imports excluding purchases for Reliance Industries' (RELI.BO) new refinery declined 16 percent to about 10 mln tonnes.

In June, oil product sales had grown 10.7 percent from a year earlier. (Reporting by Nidhi Verma; Editing by John Mair)
