Realia finalises commercial centre sale-sources
MADRID, Sept 3 |
MADRID, Sept 3 (Reuters) - Spanish property company Realia (RLIA.MC) is finalising the sale of its Nervion Plaza commercial centre in Seville to fund manager Henderson Group (HGGH.L) for about 80 million euros ($114.3 million), sources familiar with the deal said on Thursday.
A Realia spokesman declined comment.
Realia, which is owned by Spanish builder FCC (FCC.MC) and savings bank Caja Madrid, needs cash after losing 39 million euros in the first half of the year.
In line with the trend seen at other Spanish real estate companies which have been hit by a severe sector slump, Realia has recently reached an agreement to refinance a large part of its debt.
The Nervion Plaza commercial centre is located near the Seville football stadium.
Realia is also in talks with Henderson over the possible sale of commercial real estate in Leganes, Madrid, one of the sources said. (Reporting by Andres Gonzalez; Writing by Judy MacInnes; Editing by David Holmes) ($1=.7000 Euro)
