Australia's Atlas to merge with iron ore minnow
SYDNEY, Sept 8 |
SYDNEY, Sept 8 (Reuters) - Junior Australian iron ore miner Atlas Iron (AGO.AX) has agreed an all-share merger with prospector Warwick Resources WRK.AX, Atlas said on Tuesday.
Atlas said it was offering one of its shares for every three Warwick shares in a deal backed by Warwick. The combined company would aim for annual output of 26 million tonnes by 2014. (Reporting by Mark Bendeich; Editing by Jonathan Standing)
