Eutelsat Communications Receives Award as Fixed Satellite Services Operator of
the Year for Second Consecutive Year
PARIS, September 10 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Eutelsat Communications
(Euronext Paris: ETL) has been awarded the prize for Fixed Satellite Services
Operator of the Year for the second consecutive year by Euroconsult, a
leading analyst and research company in satellite applications and digital
broadcasting. Bestowed by a jury of experts from Euroconsult, Space News and
Satellite Finance, using rigorous quantitative and qualitative standards, the
prize was awarded at this week's annual World Satellite Business Week event
in Paris.
This annual Award distinguishes the satellite operator achieving the
strongest revenue growth and best profitability for its most recent financial
year and the two preceding years. Eutelsat has maintained a track record of
uninterrupted growth over the last three years, and for its financial year to
June 2009 reported a record 7.2% increase in revenue to EUR940.5 million, and
an EBITDA margin of 78.9%, which was maintained at the highest level of
leading satellite operators.
Receiving the Award from Euroconsult, Eutelsat Chairman and CEO Giuliano
Berretta declared: "In an industry showing strong resilience during the
economic crisis we are delighted to receive this accolade recognising
Eutelsat's performance over the last three years. With our significant
investment programme of nine satellites to be launched between 2008 and 2011,

for the 2009-2010 financial year, and a compound annual growth rate of 7% for
the period to June 2012."
