US STOCKS SNAPSHOT-Wall St opens flat
NEW YORK, Sept 11 |
NEW YORK, Sept 11 (Reuters) - U.S. stocks opened flat on Friday as optimism about an economic recovery and FedEx Corp's (FDX.N) rosy outlook were offset by profit taking.
The Dow Jones industrial average .DJI rose 10.88 points, or 0.11 percent, at 9,638.36. The Standard & Poor's 500 Index .SPX was up 3.13 points, or 0.30 percent, at 1,047.27. The Nasdaq Composite Index .IXIC gained 1.54 points, or 0.07 percent, at 2,085.56.
