IDG Forms Strategic Marketing Services Group in US
FRAMINGHAM, Mass.--(Business Wire)--
A 15 year ad agency professional has joined IDG Communications as vice president
of Client Services, a new position in the company. Deidra Bodkin
(http://twitter.com/deidrabodkin), who served as vice president/group media
director, ZenithOptimedia, is responsible for developing social media programs
for IDG`s marketing clients. At ZenithOptimedia in San Francisco, Bodkin`s
primary client was Hewlett-Packard for which she led US media planning and
buying across consumer, small-medium business, enterprise, and vertical
audiences. In 2008, Bodkin`s team won Mediaweek`s Digital Media Plan of the Year
for its work on behalf of HP.

For most of her career, Bodkin has held senior account management positions at
Publicis & Hal Riney, EURO RSCG, and DDB where her clients included Dell.

Yorke Leads Strategic Marketing Services

Bodkin joins the newly renamed Strategic Marketing Services (SMS) group,
formerly known as IDG Corporate Sales, led by Matthew Yorke
(http://twitter.com/matt_yorke) who has been promoted from senior vice president
to president. "The hiring of Deidra and her extensive agency experience
underscores the importance of both services and products for our technology
clients," said Yorke. "SMS offers a broad range of services including custom
media and IDG Amplify social advertising that are not traditional ad programs."
Yorke has held sales and management positions at IDG in both the UK and in the
US. He serves on the board of BPA.

Charles Lee has been promoted to senior vice president of Strategic Programs and
Custom Solutions at SMS. He was a vice president in IDG Corporate Sales.
"Charles has played a major role in the substantial revenue growth in Corporate
Sales over the past several years. This year about one-third of the revenue in
the group has come from custom, services oriented programs," said Yorke. One
such program for AMD (www.accelerateresults.com) has earned a Best of the Web
