UPDATE 1-BioCryst signs deals for its anti-viral outside US

* Signs partnership deals in Mexico, China, Israel

* Shares jump 17 pct in pre-market trade

Sept 15 (Reuters) - BioCryst Pharmaceuticals Inc (BCRX.O) signed partnership contracts with companies outside of the United States for its anti-viral Peramivir for influenza, sending the drugmaker's shares up in pre-market trade.

Each partner will be responsible for stockpiling opportunities in their respective countries, marketing and distribution upon regulatory approval, the company said in a statement.

The three partners include moksha8 Pharmaceuticals Inc for Brazil and Mexico, NT Pharma Group Co Ltd for China and Neopharm Group for Israel.

The partners will immediately begin meeting with government officials in their respective territories to discuss Peramivir's availability during the global health emergency, BioCryst said.

Peramivir, an anti-viral given intravenously, is one of the flu drugs furthest in its development stages and would be made and sold in partnership with Japan's Shionogi & Co Ltd (4507.T).

BioCryst shares rose as much as 17 percent to $12.60 in trading before the bell Tuesday. They closed at $10.73 Monday on Nasdaq. (Reporting by Anuradha Ramanathan in Bangalore; Editing by Gopakumar Warrier)
