Nine American Airlines staff held in U.S. drug raids

SAN JUAN, Puerto Rico, Sept 15 (Reuters) - Nine employees of American Airlines AMR.N were among more than 20 people arrested in anti-drugs raids in Puerto Rico and Miami carried out by U.S. federal agents, the U.S. Attorney's Office in San Juan said on Tuesday.

"It was a drug-trafficking organization," a spokeswoman for the office told Reuters, saying the raids were carried out late Monday night. One person was arrested in Miami and the rest in San Juan, capital of the U.S. Caribbean territory of Puerto Rico. (Reporting by John Marino, Pascal Fletcher; Editing by Maureen Bavdek)
