New Release, Designed for MicroStrategy 9, Features Increased Performance,
Enhanced User Interface, and Additional Analytics Such as Market Basket and
Inventory Aging Analysis
ATLANTA--(Business Wire)--
QuantiSense today announced the release of the latest version of its retail
business intelligence and analytics solution, which is designed for
MicroStrategy version 9.

New Analytics

QuantiSense 4.7 features Market Basket analytics -- enabling retailers to
identify which items or categories sell together, which items are part of a
multi-item purchase, what the make-up is of small, large, profitable and
unprofitable transactions and more. Market Basket analytics also includes pull
metrics for determining which items "pull" other items and how a team or
department can drive incremental add-on sales in dollars and units. Other
benefits include the ability to maximize return on promotions by ensuring
availability of "passenger" or "halo" items, analyze profitable versus "cherry
picker" promos, and increase average dollar sales (ADS) by learning what sells
together as well as training store personnel to better cross-sell.

The new release also includes Inventory Aging analytics, which retailers can use
to determine how "fresh" their inventory is, what portion of inventory they are
carrying at full price and marked down, and what the sell-thru was during a
particular reporting period. With Inventory Aging analytics, companies can prune
assortments via markdown or liquidation, reduce inventory carrying costs, free
up open-to-buy and drive more sales transactions from repeat customers looking
for new merchandise.

Revised Plays

QuantiSense Playbooks® are a set of "plays" unique for each retail job role that
guides users to make better decisions and take action in response to specific
situations. QuantiSense has built out Playbooks for Allocators, Planners,
Buyers, Executives, Store Managers and more to help retailers turn the
methodology of their most successful professionals and departments into
standardized processes that are consistent across the retail organization.

In the latest release, QuantiSense has enhanced several of its most popular
plays, including:

* Accelerate: Prompts user to quickly get an order accelerated for hot-selling
merchandise to avoid stockouts
* Cancel: To cancel an order and reduce overstocks
* Substitute: Offers items that can act as "substitutes" for out-of-stock top
sellers
* Cut and Run: Prompts to markdown certain merchandise to clear the shelves
quickly

Improved Performance and User Interface

In QuantiSense 4.7, powered by the new MicroStrategy 9, role-based dashboards
run substantially faster, and users have the ability to drill down using caches,
offering reduced administration costs, greater scalability and usability, and a
larger scope of possible analytics.

Additionally, the improved user interface features a streamlined appearance and
navigation structure, as well as new visuals and sparklines that reduce training
time, encourage greater use and adoption, and allow users to easily see and
react to business trends.
