LISLE, Ill.--(Business Wire)--
In an effort to better manage its tax status as a regulated investment company,
Madison/Claymore Covered Call & Equity Strategy Fund (NYSE: MCN), a closed-end
management investment company, is now declaring its November quarterly dividend
of $0.1962 per share. This dividend is being paid in an effort to disburse the
remainder of the Fund`s 2008 distributable income. This dividend will be paid on
November 30, 2009 to shareholders of record as of November 13, 2009. The
ex-dividend date will be November 10, 2009.

the Investment Company Act of 1940, as amended, such notice will be posted to
the Fund`s website after the close of business three business days prior to the
payable date. If a distribution rate is largely comprised of sources other than
income, it may not be reflective of the Fund`s performance.
