(Reuters) - Following are security developments in Iraq at 5 p.m. EDT on Tuesday.

* BAGHDAD - Four mortar rounds struck Baghdad's fortified Green Zone government district, killing two Iraqi civilians and wounding five, police said. They fell shortly after U.S. Vice President Joe Biden flew into Iraq for talks with Iraqi leaders. At least two landed near the U.S. embassy.

* FALLUJA - A roadside bomb wounded three civilians in Falluja, 50 km (30 miles) west of Baghdad, police said.

KIRKUK - Gunmen hurled a hand grenade at a police checkpoint, wounding two policemen and a civilian in central Kirkuk, 250 km (155 miles) north of Baghdad, police said.

BAGHDAD - A roadside bomb wounded a civilian in Baghdad's western district of Yarmouk, on Monday, police said.

MOSUL - Gunmen killed an Iraqi soldier in an attack on his checkpoint in northern Mosul, 390 km (240 miles) north of Baghdad, on Monday, police said.
