Italian Stocks - Factors to watch on Sept 16

 MILAN, Sept 16 (Reuters) - The following factors could
affect Italian markets on Wednesday.

 INTESA SANPAOLO (ISP.MI)
 The bank is ready to launch a 1-1.5 billion euro Tier 1
hybrid bond, allowing it to avoid using state-backed bonds, Il
Messaggero said without citing sources. The bank had no
immediate comment. The 10-year bond should have a yield of 8.5-9
percent, it said. Banks involved in arranging the issue are
Societe Generale, UBS and either Goldman Sachs or Morgan
Stanley, it said. On Sept 4, Intesa CEO said the bank could
rethink its request for 4 billion euro in state aid.

 Il Messaggero said talks with Exor to sell the bank's
Fideuram unit have been slowed down because the private equity
funds flanking Exor want to pay less than Intesa is asking.
 * The Lex column in the Financial Times says Exor could buy
Fideuram with private equity funds with a first refusal on any
subsequent sale by the funds while Fideuram could be relisted.

  * TELECOM ITALIA (TLIT.MI)
 The phone group is on track to achieve 2009 EBITDA and debt
targets, according to slides for a company presentation cited by
MF. The paper also quoted its chairman as saying Telecom Italia
is "seriously" thinking about launching a new bond.

 The regional utility approved a bond issuance programme on
Tuesday which financial sources said was aimed at replacing part
of the company's existing debt and supporting its credit rating.

 POPOLARE DI MILANO (PMII.MI)
 The bank's chairman Massimo Ponzellini said he would meet
representatives of Credit Mutuel in Strasbourg on Sept 25 to
discuss a bancassurance agreement.
 
 ENI (ENI.MI)
 * Aker Solutions ASA (AKSO.OL) has signed a contract with
Eni for subsea production systems with a contract value of

 ING raises target to 21 euros from 19 euros, rating 'buy'
 
  * EDISON (EDN.MI)
 Italy's Edison could "offer" its IGI pipeline to the South
Stream pipeline project of Eni and Gazprom if France's EDF joins
the South Stream project, Il Sole 24 Ore said, without citing
sources. On Tuesday the Kommersant newspaper said EDF could take

  * CAMPARI (CPRI.MI)
 Campari is preparing the launch of a bond issue of 350
million to 500 million euros aimed at institutional investors,
Finanza & Mercati said in an unsourced report, adding that
Deutsche Bank is among the lead managers of the operation.
 
  * MEDIOBANCA (MDBI.MI)
 The bank's shareholder pact will meet before the end of the
month on renewal of the pact, several newspapers said.
 
 UBI BANCA (UBI.MI)
 The bank said on Tuesday it would price its 1 billion euros
covered bond issue at 60 basis points above the midswap rate

 The utility's board will reconvene on Oct 15 on a 2010-2012
business plan, whose guidelines were presented to the board on
