WASHINGTON (Reuters) - U.S. President Barack Obama said on Wednesday that an immediate decision on additional resources for Afghanistan was not pending, adding that the process of getting a strategy right there was still ongoing.

Obama's comments come a day after the top U.S. military officer said the United States will probably need to deploy more troops to Afghanistan despite almost doubling the size of its force there this year.
