No big expectations for Mideast talks: White House
ALBANY |
ALBANY (Reuters) - The White House said on Monday it does not have "grand expectations" for results from upcoming talks between President Barack Obama and Israeli and Palestinian leaders.
White House spokesman Robert Gibbs told reporters that Obama was looking to "continue to build on progress" in Mideast peace talks when he meets with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas on Tuesday.
The meeting -- the first between the three men -- will be held in New York, where the U.N. General Assembly takes place next week.
