PGP Corporation Showcases Expanded Integration with Intel Corporation on Data
Protection at Intel Developer Forum 2009
Inclusion in Today's Keynote, Panel Sessions and PGP-Intel Product
Demonstrations Among Highlights

SAN FRANCISCO, Sept. 23 /PRNewswire/ -- PGP Corporation, a global leader in
enterprise data protection, today announced its participation in the Intel
Developer Forum (IDF) 2009 which runs from September 22-24, 2009 at the
Moscone Center in San Francisco. PGP Corporation and Intel Corporation, have
developed a strategic partnership over the past two years focused on creating
a fast, transparent, high performance Whole Disk Encryption (WDE) solution to
enable large enterprise and SMB customers to protect their sensitive data from
theft or accidental loss. This cooperation is showcased through PGP
Corporation's involvement at IDF this week:

-- During this morning's keynote by David Perlmutter, Executive Vice
President for Intel Architecture Group at Intel Corporation, entitled,
"Mobile Computing: The Definition of Cool," PGP Corporation
was showcased as a primary solution provider for Intel's Intel(R)
        Anti-Theft Technology (Intel(R) AT).
-- In the Intel(R) vPro(TM) Technology Community at the Forum, PGP
Corporation will be demonstrating its support of Intel(R) AT. PGP
Corporation announced an agreement with Intel in April 2009 to support
Intel(R) AT. PGP has integrated Intel AT into the award-winning PGP(R)
Whole Disk Encryption solutions for combined data and asset protection
as well as help with notebook theft deterrence for organizations
worldwide. According to the recently released 2008 Ponemon Cost of a
Data Breach Report, compromised customer records in the U.S. costs a
company $202 per record. Without proper asset and data protection
practices, these breaches can cause significant damage to a
        company's brand and bottom line.
-- In the Intel(R) Mobility Pavilion, PGP Corporation will be
demonstrating
its support for Intel AES-NI in Westmere processors. Intel AES-NI is
a
new set of Single Instruction Multiple Data (SIMD) instructions that
are
going to be introduced in the next generation of the Intel processor.
These instructions enable fast and secure data encryption and
decryption, using the Advanced Encryption Standard (AES). According
to
Intel, "Westmere is Intel's first 32nm processor, and historic
in that it is the first-ever Intel processor to integrate graphics
right
        into the processor's package."
-- PGP Corporation will be participating in today's IDF Panel:
"Benefits of Intel(R) Anti-theft Technology (Intel(R) AT)" in
Room 2009 at 1:05pm PT. Among other topics, the panel will focus on
end-user deployment experiences of Intel AT, benefits of the
technology
and product/service roadmaps from supporting vendors.

-- PGP Corporation will also be participating in a second panel session
today: "Building Real Life Clouds: Best Practices and Enabling
Technologies" in Room 2008 at 4:15pm PT. In this technical
session, the panel will focus on security technologies for multitenant
hosting, resource isolation techniques for secure clients,
optimizations
to achieve higher performance and other topics related to security and
        cloud computing.

"PGP Corporation's strategic partnership with Intel on asset and data
protection solutions helps organizations of all sizes deter the theft of
costly hardware and then the loss of sensitive, valuable data," said Jim
Adkins, vice president Technology and Products, PGP Corporation. "The Intel
Developer Forum is a tremendous opportunity to bring together various
technology solution providers who are integrating Intel technology, and PGP
Corporation is honored to be a part of this distinguished group. We also look
forward to continuing to expand our relationship with Intel to deliver the
best data protection solutions on the market."

Intel's partnership with PGP Corporation addresses three growing trends that
cost businesses and consumers billions of dollars every year - identity theft,
data breaches and computer theft. Approximately 10% of all notebooks annually
are lost or stolen so it is imperative that notebooks today incorporate two
critical technology components to address these issues proactively and
reactively - data protection and hardware-based anti-theft capabilities.
Additionally, PGP Corporation's support of Intel AES-NI enables enterprise and
SMB customers to have a transparent, fast, high-performance, secure whole disk
encryption solution that is centrally managed and demonstrates compliance to
meet the complex web of industry regulations.
