PRECIOUS-Gold stable after New York decline

TOKYO, Sept 24 (Reuters) - Spot gold was stable on Thursday
after ending lower in the previous session as a stronger dollar
eroded the precious metal's allure as a hedge against the U.S.
currency.
Traders in Tokyo return to the market after a three-day break
from Monday to Wednesday due to a series of national holidays.
