iLinc Green Meter Empowers Customers by Automatically Tracking Actual Cost and
Environmental Savings Derived from Meeting and Training Online
PHOENIX--(Business Wire)--
iLinc, a leading provider of web and video conferencing software and services,
today announced that it has received a patent from the United States Patent and
Trademark Office (USPTO) for its iLinc Green Meter. The patent includes the
application, algorithms and processes embedded within the core iLinc technology
that tracks the dollars saved and greenhouse emissions avoided when customers
use iLinc web conferencing for meetings, events and training sessions rather
than traveling by car, train or airplane.

James M. Powers, Jr., President and Chief Executive Officer of iLinc, said, "We
are very proud to receive a patent for the Green Meter. This one-of-a-kind tool
provides our customers tangible evidence of the economic and environmental
savings that they have accrued using our web conferencing solutions while
avoiding the headaches and productivity losses of travel. As a service-oriented
solutions provider, we are driven to developing tools that today`s organizations
can leverage to drive revenue and increase efficiency. The iLinc Green Meter,
with its automated and comprehensive reporting capabilities, is just one example
of this singular focus on enabling customer success."

By moving meetings, events and training sessions to the iLinc platform, iLinc
customers can not only expect enhanced productivity, but they are also able to
rely on the patented Green Meter to accurately measure the financial savings
that result from their web conferencing investment. In one case study, the state
of Arizona indicated that it saved over $1.7 million and reduced its emissions
by more than 761,000 pounds of carbon dioxide in just the first year of iLinc
usage. Tad Wootton, the state`s former Director of Efficiency Review, stated,
"With iLinc, we are reducing the costs associated with travel and increasing the
productivity of state employees."

The USPTO issued to iLinc patent number 7,590,690 on September 15, 2009. Mr.
Ethan Abrams, iLinc`s VP of Product Development, and Ms. Marie Prentice, a
long-term software developer at iLinc, are listed as the co-inventors of the
patented process. To learn more about how the iLinc Green Meter can help
