MACON, Ga. Oct 1 (Reuters) - The drop in stocks on Thursday signals some market disappointment with economic data, Atlanta Federal Reserve President Dennis Lockhart said on Thursday.

Lockhart told reporters after speaking at the Macon State College School of Business that the full potential growth rate of the U.S. economy is likely to be lower in the future than it was before the financial crisis.
