MEXICO CITY Oct 2 (Reuters) - The Mexican stock exchange said on Friday it lifted a trading suspension on bottler and brewer FEMSA (FMSAUBD.MX).

The exchange halted trading on FEMSA shortly before the closing bell on Thursday after its shares shot up 12.50 percent on reports it was exploring merging its beer business with another company. The company later said it was in talks with several companies about a possible deal. (Reporting by Cyntia Barrera Diaz, editing by Gerald E.
