Atheros Schedules Third Quarter 2009 Results Conference Call for October 19, 2009

SANTA CLARA, CA, Oct 05 (MARKET WIRE) --
Atheros Communications, Inc. (NASDAQ: ATHR), a global leader in
innovative technologies for wireless and wired communications, today
announced that it will release its third quarter financial 2009 results
after the market closes on Monday, Oct. 19 and host an Analyst Day for
equity analysts and institutional investors on Thursday, Nov. 5.
Third Quarter Financial Results Conference Call
Atheros has scheduled its third quarter financial results conference call
on Monday, Oct. 19, 2009 at 2 p.m. Pacific Time (5 p.m. Eastern Time).
Atheros will release the company's third quarter financial results at
approximately 1 p.m. Pacific Time (4 p.m. Eastern Time).

p.m. to 5 p.m. Pacific Time (4 p.m.to 8 p.m. Eastern Time). Attendance at
the event is by invitation only.
