New, Sustainable Solution Maintains the Cold Supply Chain for Small
Temperature-Controlled Pharmaceutical Items
LAS VEGAS--(Business Wire)--
Coldpack™, an innovative insulated packaging solutions leader, today announced
it will preview the company`s latest environmentally friendly product, the
Pharmaceutical Pouch, at the packaging industry`s largest tradeshow, PACK EXPO.
The pouch, a high-performance inflatable thermal envelope, uses Coldpack`s
award-winning AirLiner® technology to ensure that sensitive pharmaceutical
shipments remain within the necessary temperature range of +2°C to +8°C during
the transportation period. Coldpack`s Pharmaceutical Pouch and the company`s
other innovative products, including the AntiFreeze VaccineBackpack, will be on
display at PACK EXPO, Oct. 5-7, 2009, in Las Vegas, at booth S5573.

"With Coldpack`s new Pharmaceutical Pouch, vaccine and biological materials
shippers can trust that their valuable cargo will arrive protected and on
temperature," said Etienne P. Snollaerts, CEO of Coldpack. "This enhanced
product offering is an extension of our commitment to consistently deliver
sustainable thermal insulated packaging solutions. The Pharmaceutical Pouch is
the first of many new products Coldpack plans to debut in the coming year."

The Pharmaceutical Pouch utilizes Coldpack`s signature packaging solution
AirLiner, an insulating inflatable film that is manufactured using patented
technology. It represents the company`s environmental charter to offer
sustainable packaging by developing products that use 50 percent less raw
materials and occupy 80 percent less bulk waste than the alternative Styrofoam;
offer reduced freight weight and shipping costs; and are manufactured in a
zero-waste facility. The Pharmaceutical Pouch will leverage the company`s
long-standing partnership with DuPont. Coldpack`s AirLiner uses DuPont`s
packaging resins for its patented internal heat-barrier technology to provide
high-level thermal performance. Coldpack is conducting numerous testing
processes in Europe to bring the commercialized product to the North American
market.

The unique, reusable pouch is ideal for transferring medication to patients;
hospital distributions and supply chains; pharmaceutical wholesale
distributions; and the shipment of biological samples or other materials. For
