Portland-Based Company is Honored for Giving Back to the Community with a Focus
on Higher Education

PORTLAND, Ore.--(Business Wire)--
CollegeNET, Inc., a provider of Web-based, on-demand technologies and the
creator of CollegeNET.com, the social network through which students create
topics, write about them and vote to determine who will win scholarships, today
announced it is a recipient of Portland Business Journal`s Corporate
Philanthropy Award. The award celebrates regional organizations that are giving
back to their community and congratulates them on their continued corporate
citizenship.

CollegeNET is well established in the higher education sector providing more
than 1,300 institutions worldwide with Web-based services for event and academic
scheduling, admissions, tuition processing, IT service and prospect management,
alumni development and e-mail management. Seeing a need for a scholarship system
that encourages students to actively learn from each other as they seek
scholarships, the company introduced CollegeNET.com in 2007. This site
encourages students to frame topics of interest, and explain their viewpoints
through a social network. CollegeNET is currently sponsoring $50,000 a quarter
in open scholarships for college students at this site. Each winner is
determined by peer-voting in an open election.

"CollegeNET is honored to be recognized for our work in the higher education
sector-both locally in Portland, and throughout the United States," said Ed
Trachtenbarg, Vice President of Finance, CollegeNET. "To date, CollegeNET.com
has sponsored awards totaling more than $440,000 for more than 130 college
students. We appreciate the recognition for offering these scholarships,
providing aid to local schools via annual school supply and food drives, and
donating office space and services to the non-profit Education Conservancy."
