Make A Mark:
Who: Presented by Make A Mark, a campaign that strives to educate tween girls between the ages of 9-14 about body image, self-esteem, and inner strength.
What: Tween girls and their mothers are invited to the first annual Tween Empowerment Event designed to educate and empower tween girls on healthy body image and self esteem as well as to strengthen the mother-daughter relationship. Activities will include:
• Motivational speaker Jennifer Curtet;
• A fashion show presented by Plum Denim and Jellypop Shoes;
• Workshops on skin care (by Han`s Beauty), health, nutrition and active lifestyles;
• Arts and crafts workshops: floral arrangement from Fleuretica, sewing by The Sewing Studio; and
• An array of exhibitor booths
When: October 10, 2009, 10:30 am - 3 pm
Where: Pasadena Convention Center
300 E. Green St., Pasadena, CA 91101
Details: Tickets are $20/person and will include small bites and beverages, swag bag, and an opportunity to win one of many raffle prizes.
A percentage of the proceeds will benefit Pajama Program and Hearts 4 Africa.
