VHA Inc. Hires Hospital CEO as Vice President of Market Management and Business Development for Its Mountain States

IRVING, TX, Oct 05 (MARKET WIRE) --
VHA Inc., a national health care network, has hired Gene L. O'Hara,
FACHE, as vice president of market management and business development
for its Mountain States regional office. In this role, O'Hara will
provide overall support and implementation for VHA strategies and assist
in developing new member services for the region.
Possessing almost three decades of health care administration and
leadership experience, O'Hara was recently chief executive officer of
Banner Health's North Colorado Medical Center, Greeley, Colo.
Within the Providence Health and Services System, he served as the chief
executive officer at Providence Alaska Medical Center and chief operating
officer at Providence Health-Alaska Region, Anchorage, Alaska. He was also
the chief operating officer at St. Patrick Hospital, Missoula, Mont.
Earlier, O'Hara was vice president of the Billings Clinic, Billings, Mont.

the level of support that we in VHA provide to our member hospitals as
they seek to optimize the quality and efficiency of their organizations,"
commented O'Hara.
O'Hara earned a bachelor's degree in Pharmacy at the University of
Montana, a doctorate in Pharmacy from the University of the Pacific and a
master's degree in Health Care Administration from the University of
Colorado. Prior to launching his career in health care administration, he
was on the faculty of the Purdue University School of Pharmacy.
VHA Mountain States, based in Denver, Colo., serves more than 73 VHA
member hospitals throughout Colorado, Idaho, Montana, Nebraska, New
Mexico, Utah, Washington and Wyoming.
