PocketGear's Carrier-Grade Fuel Platform to power Samsung's Widget Store
DALLAS and DURHAM, N.C., Oct. 5 /PRNewswire/ -- Samsung Telecommunications
America (Samsung Mobile)(1), the number one distributor of mobile phones in
North America(2), today announced that it has selected PocketGear, Inc., a
leading provider of mobile content distribution and application storefront
solutions, to power the Samsung Widget Store.
At launch, the Samsung Widget Store will be available to run across Samsung's
lineup of new TouchWiz(TM) mobile phones, providing consumers with a simple
and easy way to access hundreds of rich connected mobile applications, or
"widgets", including Facebook, Twitter, Fox Sports and many other leading
consumer services.
