VERONA, N.J.--(Business Wire)-- LiveProcess, the market leader in emergency preparedness and incident management solutions for healthcare, today announced that it has named Scott Hollis as vice-president of marketing. Hollis joined the company in August 2009 and is responsible for product strategy, product marketing, product management, marketing communications and public relations. Over Hollis` 20 years in commercial software, he has held positions at various sized organizations ranging from privately held venture-backed technology start-ups to publicly traded Fortune 100 companies, including IBM, BMC Software, NetIQ, Alert Logic and now LiveProcess. At Alert Logic, a privately held venture-backed SaaS (Software-as-a-Service) start-up, Hollis initially led all product management and product marketing before transitioning to a business development role with the company. He was instrumental in the company`s successful expansion into the security management market, which contributed to the company`s tripling of annual revenue during his tenure. Prior to Alert Logic, Hollis held senior product management and product marketing positions at NetIQ (originally with Mission Critical Software), where he and his team helped the company close a $230 million technology licensing agreement with Microsoft. He and his team subsequently pioneered NetIQ`s entry into security management, which today is acknowledged as a market leader by The Gartner Group. During his five-year tenure with NetIQ, annual revenue grew from $24 million to over $300 million. "Scott has extensive commercial software leadership experience, a deep understanding of SaaS, and a proven track record in bringing comprehensive yet easy-to-use solutions to the market. We are fortunate to have him on our team," said Nathaniel Weiss, founder and CEO of LiveProcess. "Scott`s expertise is a great complement to our existing management team, as LiveProcess continues to address the needs of our current and prospective customers, and strengthen our industry leadership in web-based emergency management." Earlier in his career, Hollis held product line management, development, and customer support positions at BMC Software and IBM within the network management, performance and availability, and database backup and recovery solutions. Hollis is an honors graduate with a bachelor of science degree in computer science from Virginia Tech and a MBA from the University of Houston.
