LEEDS, England--(Business Wire)--
Global translation and interpreting company, thebigword, has released v2.0 of
its world-leading language management platform, LanguageDirector.

The launch of LanguageDirector, just three years ago, brought new levels of
quality, speed and cost effectiveness to thebigword`s customer base,
significantly enhancing the ease with which the management of complex
multilingual projects was handled. A truly scalable Translation Management
System (TMS), integrating people, processes and technology, LanguageDirector
provided a user-friendly but highly sophisticated and secure environment for
web-based file submission, high-level encryption and instant archiving.

LanguageDirector 2.0 goes several steps further, providing the most intuitive
language management system ever. It uses forward-thinking technology combined
with thebigword`s industry leading project and customer support teams to deliver
the very best quality translations and effective management system from one
centralised portal.

LanguageDirector currently receives more than 12,000 unique files for
translation every day and processes 300 million source words every year.

LD2.0 provides an enhanced user experience, extends user capabilities across the
tool set and ensures new levels of quality assurance.

New GUI and Tool Improvements
The modern and user friendly user interface has been updated and now supports
increased levels of intuitive interaction. Key new features include the
Terminology Management tool allowing users to create a glossary of commonly used
terms and phrases for guaranteed style consistency and powerful automated
quality assurance checks. The fully-automated CMS integration saves
organisations time, money and resource and provides a full end-to-end process,
ensuring multilingual web content is updated on time.

LD2.0 can be branded to support client personas and offers enhanced Review tools
and improved Reporting and Budgeting - all designed to provide significant
benefit to users, both existing and new.

Alongside the features benefitting the translation user, LanguageDirector 2.0
now allows users to manage their interpreting assignments online, recognising
the important role interpreting plays as a global communications mechanism
within both the private and public sectors.

Josh Gould, Chief Commercial Officer for thebigword says:
"The management of multilingual projects, including hard copy, web-based and
graphics formats is significantly simplified by using LanguageDirector2.0. A
superior level of technology, backed by our highly qualified and experienced
teams, enables organisations to handle their global communications confidently
and confidentially, whilst improving accuracy and speed to market".
