SANTA CLARA, CA, Oct 05 (MARKET WIRE) --
Avenda Systems, the innovator in identity-aware network security,
announced its new trade-in program and incentives to help ConSentry
Networks customers continue to build their vision for user and endpoint
network access security, with a superior and more flexible solution.
Mount Pleasant Independent School District (MPISD) of Texas is an example
of a ConSentry customer capitalizing on Avenda's trade-in program.

"Avenda Systems went out of their way to provide an easy transition from
ConSentry and I was very impressed by all of the powerful features offered
in eTIPS, that I did not see in our previous solution," said Noe Arzate,
director of Technology at MPISD. "In addition to delivering a superior
solution, Avenda worked with us to meet our aggressive price point since
we had not anticipated ConSentry's abrupt announcement."

Avenda is offering ConSentry customers a comprehensive migration program
that includes an aggressive trade-in offer (up to $20,000 with the
purchase of a comparable Avenda solution), design and implementation
assistance, and improved security through operational efficiency.

"When ConSentry recently closed its doors, their customers found
themselves in a situation where they were forced to find a new solution,"
said Ron DiBiase, VP of Sales. "Conversations with ConSentry customers
led us to offer a rescue plan that helps them move beyond an unfortunate
situation. MPISD evaluated our product and quickly decided that our
technology and trade-in offer provided the long-term solution they
needed."

The following functionality provided by ConSentry's LANShield products is
easily replaced and enhanced with the installation of Avenda's eTIPS
identity-aware platform:

-- Identity-based access control
-- Endpoint NAC health checks
-- Control of unmanageable devices (printers, IP phones, smartphones)
-- Analysis, audit compliance, and detailed reporting based on role

Avenda delivers important advantages including:

-- Out-of-band architecture that supports any networking vendors'
equipment which minimizes network topology changes
-- Fully 802.1X-based (optional Quick1X endpoint auto-configuration
    wizard)
-- Agent, agentless and dissolvable agents for Windows, Linux and Mac OS
    X endpoints
-- Complete AAA services via built-in RADIUS, TACACS, or SNMP
-- Full support for NAC and Microsoft NAP
-- Intuitive management interface with multiple implementation tools and
    templates
-- Cluster-able appliances for redundancy, load balancing, and
    scalability
-- Attractive price points
