OREM, UT, Oct 05 (MARKET WIRE) --
Adobe MAX 2009 Booth #449 -- Omniture, Inc. (NASDAQ: OMTR), a leading
provider of online business optimization software, today announced the
public beta of the Omniture Developer Sandbox, part of the Omniture
Genesis open integration platform, to simplify and accelerate development
of digital marketing applications integrated with the Omniture Online
Marketing Suite.
The Developer Sandbox is an Omniture SiteCatalyst development environment
with a set of test data and the ability to upload custom data. The
sandbox simplifies the development of custom applications and
integrations using Omniture data. Developers can utilize a full set of
previously announced integration APIs that provide bi-directional data
exchange and administration between developer applications and Omniture
products.
Developers within Omniture's partner and customer community are already
seeing success innovating with these APIs. As an example, Ariba, a
leading provider of spend management solutions, integrated the Genesis
Data Insertion API with open APIs from Twitter and Longtail Video to
measure social media traffic.
"Innovating on the Omniture Genesis platform has enabled Ariba to develop
integrations that are the most meaningful to our business so we can turn
analysis into action," said Rudi Shumpert, Web Developer at Ariba. "By
integrating with Genesis APIs, we better understand where conversations
about our brand are happening on the Web and can respond accordingly to
boost loyalty and engagement."
"Customers rely on the data Omniture measures to develop digital marketing
strategies for every aspect of their business," said John Mellor,
executive vice president of business development and corporate strategy
at Omniture. "Because of the Omniture Developer Sandbox, our community,
including interactive agencies, professional services partners, and
software developers, can more effectively leverage the 1 trillion
transactions we capture for clients each quarter to create innovative
solutions for customers."
The Developer Sandbox is now available as a public beta. Developers
interested in using the sandbox can request access by visiting
