New York Life Insurance sells $1 bln in 30-yr notes

NEW YORK Oct 5 (Reuters) - New York Life Insurance Co on Monday sold $1.0 billion in 30-year surplus notes, said IFR, a Thomson Reuters service.

The 6.75 percent notes were priced at 99.769 to yield 6.767 percent or 275 basis points over comparable U.S. Treasuries, according to IFR.

The joint lead managers on the sale were Banc of America Merrill Lynch, Barclays, Goldman Sachs and JP Morgan. (Reporting by Caryn Trokie)
